Opening in August: Pictorial Art Faculty Exhibition
The Natalie and James Thompson Art Gallery is pleased to present this periodic exhibition of recent works by current faculty members in Pictorial Art. The exhibition showcases the work of Lexygius Sanchez Calip, Irene Carvajal, Erik Friedman, Donald Feasél Carla Fisher Schwartz, Mary Morse, Raphael Noz and Shaun O'Dell. Displaying a wide range of media, style, and technique, these exhibiting faculty members share an interest in working with pictorial media and a devotion to teaching. The exhibition will open the evening of August 25, 2026 and continue through October 9, 2026.
Hammer2 Gallery: Texturescapes (July 18 - November 3, 2026)
Opening Reception August 4, 6-8pm - The Hammer2 Gallery features a continuously rotating display featuring the work from local artists and San José State University alumni. This exhibition brings together the work of nine artists: Meghna Sharma, Nikhil Dev, Dee Mostofi, Irman Arcibal, Craig Scoffone, Michelle Frey, Jen Clarke, Lisa Heikka-Huber, Leila Ensaniat. Working in a variety of media, the artists invite the viewer into a Texturescape of color, pattern, and thought.
